Welcome to my site!

It has been on my to do list for over thirty years and thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, I finally had enough time to work on this retrospective of my singing and performing career which consumed the first part of my professional life from 1973 to 1986. 

In 1988 after moving to Los Angeles, California from Hawaii in 1986, I made a tough decision to walk away from my entertainment career and start a career in the business world.  It was an emotional decision, but I do not regret it as I found great success as a business executive, author, speaker, and industry influencer.  What I do regret is that I never formally brought closure to the many years I spent cultivating a performing career.  There was no farewell show, no press release or formal announcement, no goodbyes or anything.  I just silently closed that chapter of my life and focused all my energies on reinventing myself in a new career and creating a new professional brand.  

What I sincerely regret the most however, is that I never said thank you and acknowledged the many people who supported me during my performing career.  Sadly, because so many years have passed since I “retired” from performing, some important people that I will forever be indebted to have passed away.  I will always regret that I never got the chance to say thank you while they were alive, and I hope to make up for that by recognizing them in this site.

My foremost intent for this site was to bring closure and celebrate this important period of my life while thanking and recognizing those individuals who supported me throughout my performing career.  I am also finally taking control of my previously released music by re-mastering and re-releasing ten songs in digital format via all the major streaming services.  Whatever service you use, please look for my retrospective album, “The Best of Kevin I. 1980-1985” and hopefully it will bring back fond memories for you as it did for me, working on this website and the digital album release.
